State Emergency Services handled over five hundred calls for help across the state, primarily for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

At one point on the previous day, in excess of twenty-eight thousand energy customers in the state were experiencing outages.

Weather Forecast

Humid circumstances were expected to linger along significant areas of eastern Queensland this next several days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.

The following day was expected to become the most rainy day, with persistent thunderstorm potential expected across different parts of both regions.

Safety Concern

Public health experts alerted that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, especially given the existing atmospheric conditions.
